A grandmother and child working together on a paper airplane

THE “I MADE THIS!” MOMENT

A little help today. A proud first flight.

Watch them turn a flat sheet into a plane they can actually hold and launch. That first finished design gives them something to show you — and a reason to choose the next one.

For parents and grandparents, it is an easy way to spend time on an interest they already have. Sit beside them, work through a fold together and let them take the credit when it takes shape.

A thoughtful gift for the child who loves making things.

ONE MORE TRY BECOMES THE FUN

“What if I change this fold?”

Which design glides farther? Which lands closest to the target? What happens after a small wing adjustment?

They can fold, launch, watch, adjust and compare. The kit gives their curiosity a practical place to go — without turning playtime into a lesson or promising the same flight every time.

Try a new design. Make a small change. See what happens.

AFTER THE PRESENTS ARE OPENED

Make Christmas afternoon a family fly-off.

Choose a plane each, clear a safe space and line up for a friendly challenge. Try the farthest flight, the closest landing or simply vote for the favorite design.

Parents, grandparents, siblings and cousins can all join in. And when the holiday decorations come down, the folding and flying can carry on into rainy weekends and family afternoons.

More than an unboxing moment — something to do together.

HERE IS HOW THEY PLAY

Fold. Fly. Adjust. Try again.

Start with one design and take it a fold at a time. A grown-up can help with the tricky parts while the child makes the project their own.

Perfect for My Paper Airplane Enthusiast!

SB

This paper airplane making book has been a huge hit with my 8-year-old son! He’s absolutely obsessed with paper airplanes, and this book has kept him entertained for hours. It’s super insightful, with clear, easy-to-follow instructions that help him learn different folding techniques and understand how each design affects flight. One of the best parts is that it comes with plenty of practice sheets, so he didn’t have to use up our regular printer paper. The pages are colorful and high quality, which adds to the fun. It’s both educational and entertaining—great for hands-on learning and developing patience and focus. Highly recommend for any young (or not-so-young!) airplane enthusiast!

Amazing origami paper airplane book for beginners to advanced

Rufus the Cat Approved

This book has everything: 1. Clear descriptions of each plane including who designed it and any records it has broken, 2. Pre-printed colorful paper (multiple sheets for each plane) with all fold lines clearly printed, 3. Simple instructions including a QR code link to video instructions. I suggest using a straight edge and a blunt stylus to draw over the line before you fold. These are not traditional origami where the folds build upon each other, but more of a free-form fold project. However, they are a great way to introduce a child to origami!

Good but some planes are difficult to make

Akana Jaynes

I will say the instructions are a little difficult to follow. Both me and my husband had to work on just one of these and it took a few minutes to figure it out. So definitely recommend adult help and/or an older child gift. But the amount of paper you get is a lot and the paper quality is good. Also make sure you have a device with a qr reader because we wouldn’t have been able to make at least 1 of the planes without it and it was still somewhat confusing.

Amazing paper airplane book!

CarylBird

Amazing paper airplane book. I got this for my 8 year-old daughter, who absolutely loves it! The fun facts about world records grabbed her attention. The bright, vibrant designs and fun TikTok instruction videos kept it. The paper is thin but high quality. It tears out easily and is great for precise folds. The planes all fly in very unique ways. My daughter has said that she would like to present the designs at her school science fair. This would make a great gift for any child, but the complexity of the designs probably lends itself to slightly older than the claimed 3+. Great value for a fantastic book!

Creative paper airplanes

I’ve always thought there were only 1-2 ways of making paper airplanes until I got this kit. This kit provides so many different ways to fold airplanes, it’s makes the process enjoyable. The colors add a bit of excitement to them. I’m using this set to fold planes with my kid who is into planes. It’s a good way to spend time without the screen. There is a range of difficulty for folding these planes so there’s something for everyone.

Fun kids activity with some pretty complex patterns

This is a fun little activity for kids and adults alike. It comes with multiple sheets for each design so you can practice a few times. The designs do get pretty complex, so I'd maybe stick with older kids when testing these out. Super fun, though!

Each sheet is colorful, well marked, and the instruction manual gives you all of the tips and tricks and instructions you need to make awesome planes.

A LITTLE HELP BEFORE TAKEOFF

A good gift starts with clear answers.

Know what they will receive, how they can get started and which bundle makes sense for your family.

CHOOSE THEIR GIFT
What is included in each set?

One set includes 16 paper sheets for 16 different airplane designs, plus a folding guide. Two sets contain 32 sheets; three sets contain 48 sheets. Every set has the same 16 designs.

Is this a finished toy airplane?

No. This is a paper airplane activity kit. Children fold the printed sheets into airplanes and launch them by hand. Batteries, a motor, a remote control and a launcher are not included.

What age is it suitable for?

The store recommends ages 6 and up. Some designs need patience and careful folds. A parent or grandparent can help younger builders get started.

Will a beginner be able to make the planes?

Printed fold lines and the included guide give them a starting point. Begin with one design and work through it together. Not every design has the same difficulty, and adult help may be useful.

Do I need a screen to enjoy it?

No screen is needed to fold the paper using the included guide or to launch and play with the finished planes. Optional video demonstrations can help with a fold, but the play itself is hands-on.

Which bundle should I choose?

Choose 1 set for one airplane enthusiast. Two sets let siblings build their own copies or give you two separate gifts. Three sets are a useful choice for cousins, friends or a family challenge. The bundle options are one-time purchases.

Where can the planes be flown?

Choose a clear indoor space or an open outdoor area on a calm day. Give everyone room, avoid fragile objects and never launch toward faces, eyes, animals or roads. Flight depends on the design, folds, launch and conditions.
